PRSM mid-year is quickly approaching and everyone may be busy preparing and booking their hotels and arranging for transportation. Aside from the conference, have you started thinking about where you would like to visit while in town?
Mid-year is right in Resicom’s back yard along with the great city of Chicago.
Chicago has so many things to offer when it comes to entertainment, tours, food, and outdoor adventures that it may become overwhelming when trying to decide where to visit and when. We have dug deep and came up with a wide variety of fun and exciting things to do while in town that we are sure you will love as much as we do.
Whether you’re really into art or haven’t had the chance to visit an art museum, The Art Institute of Chicago is a must see. The Art Institute is ranked number one on Trip Advisor’s list of things to do in Chicago and is home to many famous paintings. Be sure to check out the museum’s newest edition, The Modern Wing and then take a stroll over to Millennium Park, which can be accessed from the Modern Wing. If you enjoy more modern art, The Museum of Contemporary Art is one of the world’s largest contemporary art venus composed of thousands of objects of Post-World War ll visual art. Visit the MCA on Tuesday and enjoy free music on the terrace. Dine on the terrace and enjoy food from the buffet or outdoor grill, or bring a blanket and relax on the lawn.
End your day with a night full of laughter at Second City Comedy Club. Second City is one of the most influential and prolific comedy theaters in the world.
Chicago is known for its architecture and soaring skyscrapers. The city offers many different tours that takes visitors back in time to learn about all the history of these great buildings. Some of the best tours offered are by the Chicago Architecture Foundation. We recommend the Chicago Architecture River Cruise or the walking tour, Birth of the Skyscraper. If you prefer to be your own tour guide and want to see Chicago’s views from higher up, the Willis Tower Skydeck offers views like you’ve never seen before. Take a 60 second ride up to the 103rd floor and experience “The Ledge”, or visit the John Hancock building and be daring and take a ride on John Hancock’s 360 degree Tilt attraction.
