Three small things

This weekend we were able to celebrate a holiday remembering the men and women who died while serving our country. American history is full of gallantry and come-togetherness that would seem to defy all odds. I am not sure I would have the mustard required to do what was required of those doing their duty. They are a special part of our country and deserve special recognition and appreciation for doing what so many others could never do.

An uncommon sense of this may be “Don’t assume the other guy is not willing to do what you are not willing to do”. I guess this is one of the marks of beauty that can be found in each of us. Our uniqueness, when appreciated, can put the impossible in our rear view mirror. This week I am providing a reminder of demonstrating mutual respect of others and giving your voice the environment to be heard.

I am hoping you can do the following three things each day this week. I promise you if you do these three small things today, your day will be better. I am offering a Money back guarantee. 🙂

Help someone unconditionally today. The level of your influence is determined by how abundantly you place other people’s interests first. The tools we use are the things we share – our competence, character, and care. Think about how you can abundantly place someone else’s interest first, and I challenge you to act upon it today.

Allow someone to help you today. A key to being effective is to be open to receiving someone else’s gifts. Some people have qualities that are wildly attractive to us. Think about someone around you whose qualities you typically dismiss or don’t find a whole lot of value in, and try to find a way to see them of value. Then embrace it. Just one person today, please embrace someone’s great quality that you typically wouldn’t. Being open to receiving people through their gifts brings enormous opportunity.

Remember the most valuable gift you have is yourself. Some of your super-honed skills are the ones others desperately lack/need. Please consider the people around you and the obstacles they have, and help make success on a item easier for someone else.

Please find the time to make this part of your day. You won’t regret it!
